On November 14, 2004, the first string of APODCAA members spent the whole day learning and making Christmas lanterns (parol in tagalog) at the Philippine Embassy in Massachusetts Ave in Washington, DC.

On December 5, 2004, the second string of APODCAA volunteers including their families and friends helped finished making the Christmas lanterns and hang them and decorated the Philippine Embassy compound.
